SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS | THE CARRY ON EDITION
While Hallmark movies set the bar high for holiday expectations, this season can be especially daunting, stressful and anxiety-ridden. Add travel to the mix and you might have a recipe for worry rather than relief when it comes to coveted time off. Instead of throwing things together last minute, set aside time to actually plan out your carry-on this year. Whether you're planning a long drive to Grandma's or taking a long-haul flight across time zones, here are a few things we always keep in our bag to help:
Snack in Style - Avoid spending $12.99 on airport potato chips, and instead fill a stasher bag with a few of your favorite snacks. From carrots to candy, these reusable snack-bags don’t discriminate. Dishwasher safe, better for the environment, and super sexy, we always have a few in our carry-on.
Be Wise & Santa-tize - We brag about this one a lot. But with holiday travel season upon us, hand sanitizer should land a permanent spot in everyone's carry-on space (especially with the terrifying studies that TSA bins are dirtier than bathrooms 🤢🙅). But seriously, we love our little personal care pal, as she’s uber adorable, plays well with TSA rules & regs, and saves you from the nasties!
Get There in One Piece - We’ve all heard horror stories about bags not being handled properly during transit. Whether you're traveling via plane, train or car, there is no guarantee your bag will make it to your final destination without damage. This year, pop a fragile sticker on your bag, to remind everyone to handle with care, even if it is only filled with snacks and sweatpants.
Plug In, Tune Out - While we’re partial to Apple AirPods, earphones are a travel must-have for many reasons. Avoid small talk with the chatty-Cathy seated next to you, enjoy your favorite movie, or, better yet, use travel time to get into a new podcast. We love “My Favorite Murder” and “Down the Foxhole” (click here to check out the episode with our friends from Ivy Wild)!
Less is More - especially when it comes to undergarments. Reach for the Everyday Underbares bra for your carry one this season. The beautifully designed essential is made with soft, stretchy elastic that never rubs and looks good in just about E V E R T H I N G - just pull over your head, and you are good to go his baby is seriously comfortable.
